A Fleet of Traditional Dhows for Lake Nyasa
A project by Passage of Bahar & Partners

The Assignment

An Exploration and Engineering Team from Passage of Bahar has been busy since 2004 setting up ways to fit out the Great Lakes of Central Africa with traditional Dhows to serve the people living on the shores of these waterways. Each little boat serves as a micro enterprise that provides much needed services such as fishing, transportation, education in Basic Life Skills e.g. Hiv AIDS and, Nature Conservation. Our local teams manning these boats are also equipped to get involved with local Peace & Reconciliation initiatives.

Central Africa's Lake Nyasa Fleet is NOW OPEN for your support. Involve your family, group of

friends, business, church, etc. and see the difference each boat is making through

supporting a vessel and an invitation to visit them on an African Waterway.

30 Boats and Crew to be sent out at a total project cost of USD 120,000
